Hello there! My name is Claire Weihe and I am a junior global public health student at Kent State University. I am passionate about universal access to quality healthcare, female reproductive rights, maternal and childhood health, food insecurity, and quality education for all. I am currently an Intern with the Kent State Women’s Center where I am working on an advocacy toolkit for student leaders to make effective change and advance my Period Project, an initiative for free menstrual products on campus. I am also the Chief of Staff for our undergraduate student government where I lead a government that represents about 23,000 students. A lot of people here at Kent know me as a campus tour guide, the best campus job available! I call Ohio home, but I hope to live in central Africa after graduation with the Peace Corps. I am currently the Peace Corps campus ambassador at Kent State University. In my little free time, I love to run, listen and dance to music, be in nature, and laugh with my friends and family.
